Laura was born into a science-oriented family in northern New Jersey. After attending college in the northeast she returned to the New York area to begin her career as an occupational therapist at Burke Rehabilitation Hospital in White Plains.
During her eight years at Burke, Laura worked in both inpatient and outpatient departments and progressed to become an advanced clinician and mentor. As she became proficient treating orthopedic, cardiopulmonary, and neurological conditions, it became clear that patients across all diagnoses often experienced pain and discomfort. Laura found that addressing these issues was crucial in helping patients recover and achieve their goals.
Looking for more than what traditional medicine had to offer, Laura was pleased to discover myofascial release. With its emphasis on the mind-body connection, “MFR satisfies both my rational scientific side and my more intuitive side. Either way, it’s fulfilling to get results.”
As part of her commitment to personal and professional growth, Laura relocated to Asheville in August, 2006. In addition to her interest in alternative medicine, she also enjoys yoga, hiking, biking, and tennis.
Laura is excited to be part of the Gentle Pain Release® team, specializing in MFR and devoted to helping people improve their quality of life.
