Gentle Pain Release Center Therapist Biographies

Rosalyn Wasserman, P.T.

Portrait of Rosalyn WassermanB.S., Physical Therapy,
University of Florida, 1986

Rosalyn is new to the WNC area but not to PT. She has extensive
experience in pediatrics, where she used myofascial release and craniosacral
therapy routinely.

Rosalyn sustained a knee injury a few years ago which necessitated surgery, months of outpatient physical therapy, and a career change to adult orthopedics. Especially because of her personal experience with injury, Rosalyn is sensitive to those in pain. As a busy working mother and student, she is also learning that self-care is vital to staying active and on schedule.

Rosalyn is currently pursuing her doctoral degree in physical therapy
at UNC Chapel Hill and is a prolific free-lance medical writer. Her
publications include numerous articles on various topics in Advance for
Physical Therapists, West Coast Woman and the Asheville Citizen-
Times. She is also the lead author of “Hippotherapy for a Child with
Cerebral Palsy” in Rehabilitation with the Aid of a Horse (published
in 1997). She feels blessed to have the opportunity to work with the
patients and staff at the Gentle Pain Release® Center.

Rosalyn enjoys hiking and exploring WNC with her family.
